Project Description:
We plan to install a bronze trail marker tree created by renowned artist Dennis Downes. In collaboration with LTC and LTBB, the project is designed to augment the healing space at Bluestem Meadow that includes accessible pathways, a labyrinth, educational signs, and new plantings to aid in rewilding. The trail marker tree sculpture will not only serve as an incredible piece of art but also as a focal point of the space. The tree, indicating the way to the labyrinth, signifies how to “find your way” along your journey. In addition, the sculpture is a symbol of our commitment to preserving the land and celebrating the cultural heritage and history of the local Native American community. The goal of this project is to cultivate an intentional space to promote healing in nature for everyone who visits as we believe nature has a profound impact on our physical and emotional well-being. We are creating a place where people can find solace, connect with the land, and rejuvenate their spirit.
