CCSNM met its goal for this project by providing age-appropriate school supplies, a change of clothing and toiletries in a pre-school-sized backpack, as well as a handmade fleece nap blanket for each student in the Head Start program in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties in 2021. By supplying these items, we insured that each child came to school with necessary supplies at no cost to their families or the Head Start programs. By supporting Head Start, its students and parents, CCSNM facilitates the positive impact of education in breaking the cycle of poverty in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties.

CCSNM has supported this project for at least 10 years and maybe more. The project has been funded by generous donors and grants such as Hestia Giving Circle.

During our luncheon meetings, our members receive information of how our many projects have been funded.
We regularly receive thank you handmade notes and pictures from the Head Start students.
Summary Comments
On behalf of CCSNM Board of Directors and members, I want to thank the Hestia Giving Circle for your generous donation. As you know the last 2 years have been difficult for non-profits without having the fundraising events. Your support allowed CCSNM to continue ordering the high quality items with the needed quantity requested by the Head Start staff.
