Project results and Impact
How many girls/women have been served by the project during this project year?
We have served approximately 400 women and girls since June 2023 which we a very happy about.
Goal of the Project
Did you meet your program goals for the grant period?
If yes, how do you know? Please describe any program evaluation you use:
If no, please describe current barriers and how you are working to overcome them:
We are spending $200 per month on a variety of feminine hygiene products. These items serve the needs of our clients who vary in age from teens to senior citizens. We are able to offer panty liners, tampons, menstrual pads, bladder pads and depends style undergarments.
Do you have a story of how your program positively changed participant's situation, behavior, or knowledge?
If so, please share it:
Our female clients are very grateful to have these items available. Since returning to in-person shopping after the Covid pandemic our ladies make sure to ask for or choose the products they need and we are grateful to be able to provide a variety of them.
Sustainability
Will this project continue?
If so, how will it be funded?
If not, why not?
If not funded by the grant we will continue tho offer the feminine products by fundraising. This program has become very important to Good Neighbors Food Pantry as part of our commitment to our clients overall wellbeing.
Public Relations
How did you publicize this grant?
Please list any examples.

Summary Comments
The issue of Period Poverty is very real. Women and girls facing food insecurity often do not have extra money available to them in order to purchase needed personal care items. This generous grant has provided our clients with these items and most importantly helps to maintain their dignity. Thank you very much to Hestia Women's Giving Circle.
* I have emailed a copy of our Excel spreadsheet to Jean VanDamn that shows our monthly expenditures through April 13, 2024.
