How many girls/women have been served by the project during this project year?
During the duration of the program from June 2024 to December 2024, there were 50 women served, and 73 girls served. Each time we were able to offer the emergency kits people were so happy to receive the items.

This new program did meet our goals for the grant period. The emergency kits helped families, mostly women with children, by alleviating the burden of purchasing hygiene items. Manna saw an influx of people seeking multiple layers of assistance in 2024. The emergency kits included hygiene products, diapers, wipes, and gas cards. People could save their money for other household essentials.
Do you have a story of how your program positively changed participant's situation, behavior, or knowledge?
If so, please share it:
There was a woman that came into our food bank to seek food after she lost her job to downsizing. She was in tears and scared to ask for help. She has five children that she needed to provide for. When we offered her the emergency kit, she was in tears and very grateful for the items. She did not know what she was going to do being out of work. We were able to get her food, the emergency kit with household items and a gas card. She returned a few weeks later for more food and let us know she got a job. She thanked our staff for helping her through that difficult time.

We will continue to offer the emergency kits to help lessen the burden for people in need. We received another grant to help continue this important program. Thank you for helping us get it started.
