Project results and Impact
How many girls/women have been served by the project during this project year?
Over the past year, WRCNM Educational and Employment Services has served 24 women by providing $15,000 in Hestia educational scholarships and supportive services as they move through their educational program and closer to earning a degree and prepare for work in the community.

Hestia Scholarships have provided direct financial support to cover the cost of tuition, textbook, supplies, uniforms, childcare and additional supportive costs to students enrolled in college courses or job training. Providing financial support lessens the burden for the student and gives them the opportunity to focus on their schooling and their families. The scholarships help in breaking down barriers to make a way for successful completion of a certificate, degree or job training.
Students are monitored throughout each semester to ensure academic progress, and program evaluations are administered to students quarterly. The following outcomes were achieved during the grant period:
• 100% of evaluation respondents reported satisfaction with WRCNM services.
• 9 scholarship recipients graduated in December 2025.
• 2 additional recipients will graduate in May 2026.
• Remaining students are continuing successfully in their programs

Positive change begins the moment a woman decides to return to school. From navigating the admissions process to completing her first course, confidence builds at every step. We see growth not only in academic achievement, but in self-esteem and long-term stability and resilience.
One scholarship recipient shared:
“I want to take a minute to express gratitude for the Hestia Scholarship. As a single mom working toward my nursing degree, the financial burden has been a big barrier. Being a full-time student and parent leaves very little time to work. I now know that I can finish my final semester and build a better future for me and my daughters because of your generosity.”
This reflects the broader impact of the scholarship program, it strengthens not just the student, but her entire family.

With the generous support of Hestia Women’s Giving Circle this program will continue to provide scholarships and support to women pursuing their education and looking to build a career in the community. In addition to Hestia, WRCNM will continue to leverage additional scholarship funding to ensure that women have the financial support that they need to pursue their education.
