Goal of the Project

How many people will you reach?

12

What percentage are female?

100

If your program serves both males and females, how will Hestia funds specifically target women and girls?

NA

How are recipients identified or selected to receive services?  Is financial need considered?

I will divide the grant between the youth who express a financial hardship. Without the grant some of the scouts will not not able to afford the cost.

What do you hope to achieve? What difference will this make in the lives of women and girls?
How will this project meet Hestia's mission statement?

I plan to mentor the young ladies in leadership of each other, teamwork, and expose them to new unique experiences. This week will immerse these girls in all new to them skills and subjects. Hestia will be able to partner with the first and only Scouts BSA Troop for Girls in Northern Michigan. The Scouting program is filled with financial literacy training in the merit badges, leaderships development, and adventures in areas that is traditionally closed to girls.

How will you evaluate or measure your success:

A part of the program is a Board of Review process. At every rank advancement the Scouts present themselves to a board of knowledgable community members who ask questions about the scouts experience and the program itself. The Scout master is not at the Board of Review to ensure integrity. The Board can make suggestions that improve the program and the Scoutmasters mentorship.
