Project Description:
Provide feminine hygiene products for all female shoppers at the Good Neighbors Food Pantry. We are open on Tuesday's, every week. These products include menstrual pads, tampons, bladder control pads and bladder control undergarments. We serve all ages of woman.

If your program serves both males and females, how will Hestia funds specifically target women and girls?
Our pantry does serve men and woman but 100% of grant dollars received from Hestia is set aside and used for female hygiene products. The feminine product offering at our pantry has been funded by our past Hestia grant. Currently all budgeted dollars at the pantry cover the expense of food and home hygiene products.
How are recipients identified or selected to receive services? Is financial need considered?
We serve any person in need in our community. We only require a name and phone number, if available we also ask for address. We believe all the clients that come to food pantry are truly in need of food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene and home necessitates. Our goal is to cover as many of their needs as possible with dignity.
What do you hope to achieve? What difference will this make in the lives of women and girls?
How will this project meet Hestia's mission statement?
For the woman and girls we serve we believe offering necessary feminine products provides security and safety. Our young girls are better able to participate in school activities and sports. Many of the older woman we serve are able to live life fully with the dignity by receiving bladder control products. Overall, we hope to mirror the Hestia mission by supporting woman who have experienced crisis and trauma, to find safety, hope and purpose
How will you evaluate or measure your success:
Our biggest success is the happiness we see each week in the woman that receive feminine products. It allows them to use their available funds on food, clothing and necessities. We track expenses monthly and will supply Hestia with a full spreadsheet of our spending.
